Service Level Agreement
Last updated: June 25, 2026
This Service Level Agreement ("SLA") is part of your agreement with Prufer LLC and supplements our Terms of Service. Enterprise customers may negotiate custom SLA terms as part of their Master Service Agreement.
1. Uptime Commitment
Prufer targets the following monthly uptime percentages for the enforcement engine and API:
| Plan | Uptime Target | Max Downtime / Month | SLA Credits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | Best effort | N/A | None |
| Pro | 99.9% | ~43 minutes | Yes |
| Enterprise | 99.95% (or custom) | ~22 minutes | Yes (custom terms) |
"Uptime" is measured as the percentage of time the enforcement API endpoint successfully responds to valid requests within a calendar month, excluding scheduled maintenance.
2. Scheduled Maintenance
Prufer will provide at least 48 hours' notice for scheduled maintenance via email and in-app notification. Maintenance windows will be scheduled during off-peak hours (typically weekends, 2:00–6:00 AM CT).
Scheduled maintenance is excluded from uptime calculations. Emergency maintenance (security patches, critical fixes) may be performed with shorter notice.
3. Support Response Times
| Severity | Description | Free | Pro | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| P1 – Critical | Service down, enforcement not running | Best effort | 4 hours | 1 hour |
| P2 – High | Major feature degraded | Best effort | 8 hours | 4 hours |
| P3 – Medium | Minor feature issue, workaround available | Best effort | 24 hours | 8 hours |
| P4 – Low | Question, enhancement request | Best effort | 48 hours | 24 hours |
Response times are measured during business hours (Monday–Friday, 9 AM – 6 PM CT), except for P1 Critical issues on Pro and Enterprise plans, which are monitored 24/7.
4. Service Credits
If Prufer fails to meet the uptime commitment for Pro or Enterprise plans, you may request service credits:
| Monthly Uptime | Credit (% of Monthly Fee) |
|---|---|
| 99.0% – 99.9% | 10% |
| 95.0% – 99.0% | 25% |
| Below 95.0% | 50% |
Credits must be requested within 30 days of the affected month by emailing [email protected]. Credits are applied to future invoices and are not redeemable for cash. Maximum credit per month is 50% of that month's fees.
5. Exclusions
The following are not counted as downtime for SLA purposes:
- Scheduled maintenance windows (with prior notice)
- Force majeure events (natural disasters, government actions, etc.)
- Issues caused by your infrastructure, network, or integrations
- Exceeding published rate limits or plan quotas
- Issues caused by third-party services (Stripe, cloud providers) outside Prufer's control
- Sandbox and development environments
